Editing site structure

By clicking on 'Edit Menu', a pane opens up with which you can change the structure of your transLucid site. This includes changing the page name, connecting/ disconnecting (exisiting) pages to the current one, adding new pages to your site, deleting existing ones, making the current page the home-page, setting it as a Favorite and changing the order in which pages (parents, children, jumps) will be displayed in a menu to site visitors.

changing page name Changing page name
You can change the name of your page by modifying the content of the input-field to the right of your page-number (or page-id). Clicking on the button 'Rename' will complete the renaming process.
add child Adding new page and connecting it to the current page

Type into the input field of any of the containers for parents, children and jumps (all in relation to the current page) the name of the new page you want to connect to the current page and click the +-symbol next to it.

If the page name already exists, you may either select it (see below "Connecting to existing pages") or choose to have two pages of the same name, not select it from the list offered but click the +-symbol immediately.
connecting to existing page Connecting to existing pages

When you start to type in a page name into the input-field of any of the containers (parents, children, jumps), transLucid searches through all already existing page names. If it finds (a) match(es), it will list these below the input field.
To connect an already existing page to the current page, select it from the list (you can also navigate through the list with the Up-/ Down-keys of your keyboard) by clicking on the page name.
Then click the +-symbol to complete the connection process.
disconnect page Disconnecting pages

By clicking on the icon to the left of each page connected to the current one, these will become disconnected/ disassociated with it.
add child Adding new pages

All pages are initially in relation to the current page. To add a new page, follow the description of "Adding new page and connecting it to the current page".

Hint: Pages can be edited without having any relation to another page. For this, disconnect all pages that the current one is connected to. The only way to reach this page is through Search from then on.

Hint: In all layouts considered to be "webstyle" (see here for description of standard transLucid layouts), you normally do not choose the jump relation, because only children and parents will be visible in the menu in viewmode.
delete page
Delete the current page

To delete the current page and all its connections to other pages within transLucid, navigate to the one you wish to delete and click the trash icon.
set homepage Set the home-page of your site

To change the page that is the homepage (= starting/landing page) of your site, navigate to the page that you would like to become the homepage. Then click the house icon on the left side of the current page name.

Setting a Favorite
To add the current page to your list of Favorites, click the star icon to the left of the current page name.

Attaching a URL or file
To associate a URL or file with the current page, click the anker and clip icon to the left of the current page name. These actions can be also performed while editing your content.
set sort-order of pages
Changing the order in which pages appear in menu

You can manually change and set the sort-order in which pages connected to the current one will be listed to visitors of your site. Use the up- and down-arrow next to each page name to move them up or down.

The order in which you will see the pages listed in editmode will be mirrored in the transLucid layout for your visitors.
